Role Overview

The Electrician will report directly to the Team Leader and will be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, and building systems. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth and safe manufacturing operations while adhering to the company’s quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation and Maintenance
   • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems on factory machinery and building equipment.
   • Perform preventative maintenance according to job cards and work instructions.
   • Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting to resolve electrical issues efficiently.
2. Reporting and Documentation
   • Provide accurate feedback on maintenance and repair activities via timesheets.
   • Maintain records of repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance tasks.
3. Health, Safety, and Compliance
   • Ensure all work practices comply with company SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) procedures.
   • Adhere to all safety requirements and work instructions to maintain a safe workplace.
   • Identify potential hazards and contribute to improving safety practices.

Required Skills

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities for identifying and resolving electrical faults.
• Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team.

Minimum Requirements

• NQF Level 2 or higher Qualified Electrician.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrician, preferably in an automotive environment.
• Basic knowledge and experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).
